andrew is an artist and facilitator with a research led approach to performance, ritual and informal social experiments

After graduating from their ba in 2009, they were selected for the east midlands finest exhibition in nottingham and received one of the future focus bursaries from quad in derby, exhibiting in  group show in 2010.  work from the practice has also been shown in london, melbourne australia, new york, paris, boston, malmo, vienna and belper.

they have work on permanent display in the museum of making in derby. the digital work maps the altering spaces of the museum as it under went the work to become the museum of making. andrew’s approach was socially engaged working with those undertaking the building and museum infrastructure work to create the content. the work is presented to the museum audience as a non linear interactive documentary that invites the generation of a version of story of the mapped spaces. a spin off work from this project can also be seen in the railways revealed gallery, where we see the model railway from a ‘drivers’ and ‘guards’ point of view.

their facilitation practice is underpinned by the forest school ethos, andrew qualified as a forest school leader in 2016.

In 2021 two short films were best in their categories at the beyond the curve international film festival in paris.

andrew graduated from a masters (arts-fine art pathway) from the university of derby in the autumn of 2022 and was selected for a year long student residency by banks mill studios.

they have a specific learning difference and have adopted the ritual use of lowercase letters as means to share the effects of it, identifying as neurodivergent. they are based in the east midlands of the uk.
