maker bar menu

the maker bar is a participation area in the project lab phase of the development process for the derby silk mill museum as it works towards being fully open as the museum of making.

during a maker residency where i worked with three other makers, we were invited to consider how we might evolve the maker bar from where it was at the beginning of the residency period.

i proposed that we adopted a menu system on the bar where the visitor could choose what to make and with what.  along with the menu it was proposed to make an a board for the bar to help communicate to visitors what was possible for them to do during their visit to the museum.
